Employees are provided basic life and accidental death and dismemberment insurance protection through the School Board at no cost.  The benefit amount is $50,000 for those employees participating in the medical insurance program and $100,000 for those employees who waive medical coverage.

Employees also have the option of purchasing additional supplemental life insurance coverage in $10,000 increments starting with $20,000 up to $300,000.  There is a guarantee issue $200,000 for new employees during the initial enrollment period.  After the initial enrollment period or for amounts exceeding $200,000 supplemental life requires evidence of insurability.

*Supplemental Life Only: Your amount of insurance will decrease to 65% of the original amount on the Policy Anniversary that is on or next follows your 65th birthday.
