Benefits of program participation

  • Remain employed in SRCDS while you complete your degree (including during student teaching).

    * Maintain all pay and benefits.

  • Opportunity to be hired on as a full-time teacher while you complete your degree on a teacher internship certificate.

    * Based on school and district needs and university and DOE approval.

  • Opportunity for tuition assistance through partner colleges and universities.
District Requirements

  • Be employed for one school year prior to enrolling in the Para to Teacher Program.

  • Letter of Recommendation from your principal

  • Agree to teach with SRCDS for two years after completing the program when/if hired.
