The Florida Department of Education's Office of Career and Adult Education develops and maintains educational programs that prepare individuals for occupations important to Florida’s economic development. Each program aligns to Career Clusters delineated by the U.S. Department of Education and is detailed in curriculum frameworks. Partners from education, business, industry and trade associations, ensure curriculum frameworks include program standards that are both academically integrated and responsive to business and industry needs.
CAPE Resources
The Florida Career and Professional Education (CAPE) Act was created to provide a statewide planning partnership between business and education communities to expand and retain high-value industry in an effort to sustain a vibrant Florida economy. Santa Rosa District Schools offers career pathways leading to nationally recognized industry certifications aligned to regional workforce demand in all of our middle and high schools and our district technical college. CTE Industry Certification Policies & Procedures Training
All CTE teachers and proctors must participate in the 2022/2023 CTE Industry Certification Policies & Procedures Training and complete the 2022/2023 CTE Industry Certification Policies & Procedures Quiz within 30 days of becoming an approved responsible teacher and/or proctor.
