  • Individualized instruction based on your child’s distinct strengths and needs that is aligned with the Florida Standards Access Points

  • Daily progress notes or point sheets summarizing student’s academic gains as well as social achievements

  • A resourceful, innovative teacher who “thinks outside the box” and utilizes a collaborative teaching model

  • Extensive support for the ESE department and Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

  • Access to community-based resources, i.e., [Center for Autism and Related Disorders (CARD), and Autism Pensacola]

  • Highly trained Instructional Staff (i.e. Registered Behavior Technician Training, District Training specified in the 3 year training plan, etc.)

  • Additional assistance in the classroom from highly-skilled paraprofessionals

  • Increased supervision during academics and non-structured activities (i.e., PE, breakfast, lunch, and special areas such as art and music) as needed

  • Collaboration with the staff on applying best practices and researched-based strategies with your child (i.e. Applied Behavior Analysis – ABA, TEACCH Strategies, etc.)

  • Staff meets regularly to provide the most effective and cohesive education plan for each student.

  • Speech and Language Therapy/Occupational Therapy (SLP/OT) in the classroom as well as individual therapy (SLP/OT), as determined by the IEP team
