In August, residents of Jackson, Mississippi were placed in a crisis out of their control. They were without reliable drinking water. Bottled water and water jugs were quickly purchased at their local stores, leaving very scarce supply for many who needed it most. Students from Sims Middle School's Anchored4Life program wanted to help. They held a water drive and collected enough water to completely fill the bed of a large pickup truck. Club sponsors connected with the school district in Jackson, MS and and organized to get the water and gift cards that were donated, delivered in a timely manner.
